DAY CPM is serving as the Owner’s Rep for the SAIF Corporation’s Salem Campus renovation. The renovation is taking place in order to keep the buildings in compliance with seismic codes and standards, as well as updating other systems within the buildings. In addition to the structural challenges, the SAIF campuses are located within a floodplain, and will need to be upgraded to protect from possible damage, if the surrounding Pringle Creek floods again.
SAIF’s main building, on High Street, will increase square footage with the new design due to the additional floors. The Parkway building will receive minor interior remodeling to assist in building sustainability, while the exterior will remain true to its current design. While the other buildings in this project will be renovated, the Church Street Building will be demolished. In its place a walkway will be created and surrounded by a natural landscaping. These renovations will assist in bringing these buildings up to date with a more sustainable and eco-friendly design that will benefit all those that SAIF assists for years to come.
